We were delighted to see the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, recognising the incredible work of local NHS staff, Sutton CCG, St Helier Hospital, local volunteers and the local council which has resulted in Sutton having higher take up rates in London, and a third of all ages in Sutton already getting vaccinated!
Local campaigners and Councillors Lily Bande, Param Nandha and Mukesh Rao were also mentioned for the work they've done within their communities to encourage greater take up, while local MPs Paul Scully and Elliot Colburn - who have held community roundtables about the vaccine - were also thanked for their brilliant work locally.
The vaccine is there for all, it is good for you, it is good for your community as it stops you passing it on and it is good for us all as it helps us get out of this pandemic.
