Yesterday, the British people went to the polls in a historic referendum on the UK's membership of the EU, and voters in Sutton chose to vote leave.

76% of people eligible to vote in Sutton went to the polls, a higher turnout then at last year's general election.

After all the votes were counted, Sutton voted to leave the EU by 57,241 votes (53.7%) to 49,319 votes (46.3%).
