A by-election has been triggered in the Sutton Central ward for Thursday 10th April.
This by-election is happening because a Lib Dem councillor did not attend any council meetings for over 6 months.
For many years the Lib Dems have taken Sutton Central residents for granted and the cause of this by-election is a prime example of that complacency.
Recently a Labour councillor was widely criticised for moving to Spain; neither Labour nor the Lib Dems can be trusted to properly represent residents on Sutton Council.
Sutton Conservatives will shortly select a candidate who will represent residents in council meetings, who will take this failing Lib Dem administration to task on wasteful pet projects and who will be a voice for a stronger police presence in the ward.
