Santander in Cheam Village is planning to close it's doors in June.
Santander is the last bank in Cheam, meaning all Cheam residents will have to go to Sutton to visit a branch of their local bank.
We think this will have a devastating impact for elderly and vulnerable residents, as well as schools and businesses that rely heavily on cash.
We were the only Party to campaign against the closure of Lloyds Bank and HSBC in Cheam, and we will fight these plans. We will be organising a meeting with them to fight our corner.
In addition, we will look to suggest that they donate their defibrillator to the village.
We, the undersigned, call on Santander to keep their Cheam Village branch open as it is the last bank in town.
